Large‐Diameter Carbon Nanotube Transparent Conductor Overcoming Performance–Yield Tradeoff

The floating catalyst chemical vapor deposition (FCCVD) method for producing single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) has demonstrated great potential in transparent conductive film (TCF) application. In FCCVD, reducing the concentration of (CNTs) is a well-agreed improving conductivity SWNT TCF, achieved by thinner and longer CNT bundles. However, this decreases yield dramatically, which persisted throughout TCF development. Here, production large-diameter double-walled (DWNT) TCFs via FCCVD reported, overcomes tradeoff between performance yield. These DWNTs with an average diameter ≈4 nm have low sheet resistance 35 Ω sq−1 at 90% transmittance. here aligns best-performing reported to date, showing greater than two orders magnitude. main factor contributing high considered be large tube diameter, greatly improves threshold bundling leads long length unique junctions broadening. Moreover, application DWNT perovskite solar cells exhibits power conversion efficiency 17.4%, not been yet indium-free CNT-based cells.
